The Asbery & Associates story began in April 2010 when we took our office to a private medical practice. We began with 2 providers and 6 employees. We have been very blessed along the way and have added several new additions and continue to grow. Please allow us to introduce ourselves and offer to you a family oriented environment with personal, individualized care.
David S. Asbery, M.D., FACOG
Dr. Asbery graduated from The University of Kentucky School of Medicine in 1996. He then completed his residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, North Carolina in 2000 and became Board Certified in 2002. He and his family relocated from Georgia to Illinois in 2007, where he has been practicing in the Mt. Vernon and surrounding areas since. Dr. Asbery is also a former Marine, and currently a member of The American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, The Southern Medical Association, Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons and The American Society of Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology. Dr. Asbery is the most experienced Robotic Surgeon in the Mt. Vernon area.
Daniel Moore, M.D., FACOG
Dr. Moore graduated from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine in 1994. He then completed his residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology at Memorial Medical Center in Savannah, Georgia in 1998 and became board certified in 2000. Dr. Moore relocated from West Virginia to Illinois in 2020 when he joined Asbery & Associates in practice. He has been practicing medicine for over 20 years and continues to offer many Women’s Health Services within our community. He is currently a member of The American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, American Medical Association, Seaboard Medical Association and North Carolina Medical Association.
Jo Ann Dudley, M.D., FACOG
Dr. Dudley graduated from Georgetown University School of Medicine in 1985. She then completed her residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology at Blodgett/St. Mary’s in Grand Rapids, Michigan in 1989 and became board certified in 1991. Dr. Dudley relocated from West Virginia to Illinois in January 2019 when she joined Asbery & Associates in practice. She has been in medical practice for over 30 years and continues to offer a wide variety of Women’s Health Services. Dr. Dudley is currently a member of The American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists, American Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology and American Society for Reproductive Medicine.
Andrea Briles, PA-C
Andrea Briles attended The University of Alabama in Birmingham, graduating in 1995 as a Certified Physician's Assistant and Surgical Assistant. Andrea began her 17 year career in the hospital setting as a Surgical Assistant where she assisted for 3 years in Cardio-Thoracic Surgeries. She then moved on to Vascular Surgery where she worked for the next 4 years. Andrea began working in Medical Office as a Physician's Assistant in 2005. She joined Asbery & Associates in September 2012 and can offer our patients a family practice background in conjunction with Women's Health.
Julie Rinehart, CNM, CNP
Julie Rinehart attended Georgetown University School of Nursing in Washington, D.C. She graduated in 2017 with a Masters Degree of Science in Nursing having completed a dual degree program in both Midwifery and Nurse Practitioner then became board certified in 2018. She also brings with her 17 years of prior nursing experience that includes practicing as a hospital staff nurse in Women’s Health and leadership roles such as Shift Charge Nurse. Julie began her career as a Nurse Midwife/Nurse Practitioner with Asbery & Associates in 2018 and continues to offer a wide variety of Women’s Health Services.
Kelli Daugherty, CNM
Kelli Daugherty attended Frontier Nursing University in Hyden, Kentucky and graduated in 2016 with a Master’s Degree of Science in Nursing, Midwifery. She became board certified in September 2016. Kelli has a very broad nursing background that began in 2004 that ranges from hospital floor nursing to Neonatal intensive care, labor and delivery, mental health in adults and children, and OB Clinical Instructor until she began her career in Nurse Midwifery. Kelli joined Asbery & Associates in early 2020 and continues to offer many Women’s Health Services.

Carolyn McMurphy-Quick, PA-C
Carolyn McMurphy-Quick attended The University of North Dakota School of Medicine, graduating in 1995 as a Certified Physician’s Assistant. Carolyn began her career in a hospital setting where she practiced for 3 years. She then moved on to medical office where she has continued to practice for the past 18 years, with 8 of those years specializing in women’s health and obstetrics. Carolyn joined Asbery & Associates in January 2015 and is able to offer many Family Practice and Women’s Health services.
Paul Havrilka, FNP
Paul Havrilka graduated from Frontier Nursing University in 2013 with a Masters of Science in Nursing. He then became Board Certified in August 2013 and began his career in a medical office setting. He later practiced in a hospital setting including the emergency department until he opened his own office and practiced solo until 2016, when he and his family relocated to Alaska. Paul joined Asbery & Associates in 2019 and offers a wide variety of Family Medicine and Women’s Health Services in both our Mcleansboro and Mt. Vernon Family Medicine locations.
Kelli Mowrer, CNP
Kelli Mowrer attended Chamberlain College of Nursing in Addison, Illinois and graduated in 2017 with a Master’s Degree of Science in Nursing. She became board certified in August 2017. Kelli has an extensive nursing background that began in 2004, where she worked in a hospital medical/surgical capacity until she began her career as a Nurse Practitioner with Asbery & Associates in late 2017. Kelli offers appointments in our Mcleansboro location with a wide variety of Family Medicine and Women’s Health Services.
Rene’ Bernard, APN
Rene’ Bernard attended Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville, Illinois. She graduated in 2001 with a Master’s Degree of Science, Nurse Practitioner and became board certified in 2006. Rene’ began her career in Rural Health Clinics where she practiced for 2 years and later moved on the medical office setting where she has spent the past 10 years practicing in surrounding areas. Rene’ joined Asbery & Associates in November 2014 and can offer many Women’s Health Services to our patients.
