Obstetrics

Our expectant mothers are very special to us. While we strive to give the best care possible, we also want your experience to be pleasurable, comforting and memorable. The miracle of life is one of God's greatest gifts and we are honored to share this milestone with you.

We follow The American College of Obstetrics & Gynecology Guidelines to ensure a safe and healthy pregnancy. We also work in close collaboration with Maternal Fetal Medicine Physicians for any potential pregnancy issues to ensure the best possible care for you and your baby.

OB Visits

From 4 weeks gestation to 28 weeks, obstetrical visits are scheduled every four weeks. From 28 weeks to 36 weeks, the visits increase to every two weeks. After 36 weeks, the provider will see you every week as you approach your due date. Your first prenatal visit will include giving a complete medical history and a physical exam along with counseling on safety issues, dietary concerns and other common pregnancy related issues. Routine obstetrical visits are your chance to ask any questions you may have about your pregnancy. We want you to understand the changes your body is going through!

Ultrasound

We offer on-site ultrasound for comfort and convenience. We encourage family members to come along. This is such an exciting time in your life and we know you want to share this experience with those closest to you. During the 18th to 20th week of pregnancy, an ultrasound will be performed to survey the anatomy of your baby. During this visit, we can also try to establish the sex of your baby. You may have other ultrasounds along the way to check position, etc. We offer one free 4-D ultrasound to all of our patients just for fun and sell heartbeat animals as a keepsake.

Labs

Routine lab work is done during pregnancy to detect potential high-risk factors that may need to be followed more closely throughout your pregnancy. These labs will be drawn in your first and third trimester and will be discussed during your routine OB visits. These labs can be drawn in our office right after your visit or anytime during lab hours that is convenient for you.
